The Silent Hitch Pin's heavy-duty steel coiled spring nut holds the nut tight in the tow accessory shank and is portable to fit with any hollow 2-inch ball mount, cargo carrier, bike rack, or hitch step. When properly engaged with the threaded pin, the result is a highly secure and stable, distraction-free towing experience.
It has a full 4" clear span and is designed to fit 2.5" GM and large body Toyota hitches. The pin limits movement between the vehicle's towing system and the device being towed resulting in a tow that's quiet, stable and motionless. This XL hitch pin is 5/8" in diameter and supports 2.5" Class IV hitch receivers. It has a counter-bored spring nut and pin shoulder mating to isolate threads from ball mount shear forces, and is lockable to prevent theft of the ball mount or hitch mounted accessory. The barrel lock has a rubber dust cap to prevent weather related damage and comes with two rubber-capped keys.
