How does Hipoglós work?
Hipoglós® forms a protective barrier on the skin, which prevents contact with urine and faeces.
Hipoglós® has in its formula zinc oxide that acts neutralising skin irritation factors and facilitating repair and healing. Zinc oxide prevents the modification of the normal acidity of the local skin and, with oil-based vitamins A and D forms a protective barrier of the skin against urine, faeces and perspiration. Hipoglós® helps protect the skin by reducing friction and forming a protective layer (mainly between the skin and clothes or diapers).
What are the contraindications of Hipogloos?
Hipoglós® is contraindicated for people allergic to zinc oxide, vitamin A or D or any ingredient in the product.
Category D: this medicine should not be used by pregnant women without medical advice. Tell your doctor immediately if you suspect pregnancy.
How to use Hipoglós?
The daily use of Hipoglós® with each diaper change decreases the occurrence of diaper rash.
Before changing the diaper, wash your hands thoroughly.
Carefully clean the skin, apply a generous amount of Hipoglós® and gently massage to spread the ointment, forming a protective layer throughout the area covered by the diaper, to avoid contact of urine and faeces with the skin, especially at night.
Wash your hands immediately after applying the ointment.
What care should I take when using Hipoglós?
The best way to treat and prevent diaper rash is to change the diaper frequently, which prevents prolonged contact with urine and faeces.
Hipoglós® does not treat infections caused by bacteria or fungi.
In order not to irritate the skin, due to mechanical friction during diaper changes and cleaning of the perineum, the total removal of Hipoglós® with each diaper change is not mandatory.
In rare cases, zinc oxide can cause skin irritation with continued use of the product. Avoid contact of the product with the eyes.
