This degasser for sale
is NOT
a fully contaminated used degasser like other sellers offer. This one has been fully disassembled ('gutted') and rebuilt from scratch, as all of our professionally rebuilt degassers are. The vacuum chambers have been opened up, fully cleaned/decontaminated, flushed and
tested for vacuum performance.
The vacuum pump, switching valve, vacuum sensor and internal vacuum tubing have all been replaced. Other sellers just purchase these used modules at auction

check to see if it turns on w/o a RED light, then re-sell it (flip it) as "working or tested" on ebay for a fast profit. Just because it powers up does not mean the system is free from internal contamination (in our experience, most of the used ones are worn-out and fully contaminated inside). There is no "test light" for contamination. Those bad units will contaminate your entire HPLC or LC/MS system flow path. Think you are saving money buying one of those units? Professionally cleaned, fully refurbished (vacuum pump and 3-port valve replaced, new vacuum tubing (upgraded), professionally cleaned vacuum chamber, hand tuned vacuum control circuit, new vacuum sensor). This module has been cleaned and rebuilt to function as originally designed. You can spend
less money and buy one of the many used degassers advertised on ebay for between and 2K, but you will most likely receive a broken and/or fully contaminated degasser module which was never professionally cleaned or professionally serviced. A contaminated degasser (and most are) will contaminate your fresh mobile phase resulting in ghost peaks, column fouling and other problems. Most of these modules are broken degassers obtained at laboratory closure auctions. They are simply re-sold by equipment recyclers ("flippers") for a quick profit. We see it all the time in our shop. Customer buys a "used" degasser on an auction site for ,000 to ,000, then finds out it needs ,000 plus in repairs! Save your money and time and buy one from a company who professionally repairs them for a living and can provide you with a clean and perfectly working degasser the first time.
